2nd Annual Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam
The 2nd annual Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam, set to take place this Labor Day Weekend in Panama City Beach, is already heating up with the announcement of their superstar lineup that includes Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood and Dierks Bentley. Now, they have teamed up with ReverbNation to collect online entries from aspiring country acts hoping to be crowned the next Pepsi Southern Original.
ReverbNation entries will be reviewed and select entries will be invited to participate in the semi-finals. These regional competitions will be held in cities across the SEC with 10 finalists to be chosen. These 10 finalists will battle head to head in Panama City Beach during a singing competition before a panel of industry experts. The winner will be crowned this year’s Pepsi Southern Original and open up for Blake Shelton on Saturday, August 31st on the festival’s main stage. In addition to the opening slot, they will be rewarded with 10 hours of studio recording time at the Castle Recording Studios, the opportunity to shoot a music video courtesy of the Nashville Production House, and numerous other prizes. Last year’s winner, Andrew Salgado, was the first ever Pepsi South Original and had the opportunity to open up for Darryl Worley, Eli Young Band, and Toby Keith during the inaugural Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam. Salgado has gone on to release his debut single, “Dance On,” which was written and recorded with Darryl Worley and Jim “Moose” Brown.
