Panama City Fire Department Awards Ceremony and 9/11 Commemoration

The Panama City Fire Department remembered the first responders and civilians who lost their lives in the September 11th terrorist attacks today, Tuesday, September 11th 2018. 

An Awards Ceremony followed and recognized firefighters and civilians for their service to our community.

Employees of Berg Steele Pipe Manufacturing Company were presented with the Citizen Life Saving Award for performing CPR and using an AED to save the life of their co-worker.

Ladder 2, “B” Battalion was presented with the Life Saving Award and Special Unit Award for administering Narcan and providing supplemental oxygen to a patient–it saved the citizen’s life.

Firefighter Ryan Smith was presented with the Meritorious Service Award for his accomplishments as the Fire Watch / Crowd Management Program Coordinator.

The ceremony was held at the Panama City Fire Department’s Central Station, located at 600 E. Business Highway 98.
