Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division inducted 6 employees into the NSWC PCD Inventors Society

Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC  PCD) inducted 6 employees into the NSWC PCD Inventors Society on Feb. 5, 2014 during the command’s annual award ceremony. The Inventors Society was established in 2010 as a means to recognize employees who have submitted and received patents from the U.S. Patent Office. The Society is a one-time induction for a first-time inventor and according to NSWC PCD patent program administrator Brenda Squires, membership acknowledges the individual as an official inventor.

“Membership in this honorary society is limited to those employees who have made and disclosed new inventions of interest to the Navy, and have cooperated in the work necessary to protect the patent rights of the Navy in the invention, thereby demonstrating a high standard of devotion to duty,” said Squires.
