KATIE & SI CLEMO
The November/December 2013 issue featured the beautiful wedding of local couple Katie Thompson and Si Clemo. Weddings had been published in Panama City Living before but not frequently until this wedding. Today, Panama City Living has a steadily growing fan base for its beautiful weddings that focus on local couples and local venues.
Newlyweds at the time, Katie and Si shared their stunning wedding event and wonderful love story with our readers. Katie Clemo remembers, “The reaction we received from our friends and family when Panama City Living Magazine featured our wedding was of excitement! I think it’s always fun for locals to see themselves in a story with people they know and love.”
Katie and Si are truly living their “happily ever after” and there are exciting things ahead. “We have been together since we were sophomores in high school and we are now 27 and 28 years old and have been married for two and a half years. We are expecting our first child in January and couldn’t be happier. We have recently upgraded from an apartment to a new house to be closer to our family.”
She explains that the last weeks and months have been a lot of fun as they worked together to decorate and paint the new house.
Katie still works for the fashion company Southern Fashion House and is really enjoying it. Si’s career has taken a change. For years he played professional golf and had to travel a lot to participate in competitions. He occasionally taught golf lessons and it is something he really enjoys.
In the past year he decided to pursue a career teaching golf full time. Si is the operations manager at Nature Walk Golf Course with its dedicated learning facility, the “Si Clemo Learning Center,” that opened this year. Si is certified by the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI).
“Si will still travel from time to time but he will not be traveling as much as he used to. I am excited that he will be home more, now that we are having our first baby. We are really looking forward to what 2016 will bring,” says Katie.
