The Johnson’s Tailgate

The Johnsons became Noles in 1995 after moving to Panama City Beach from Pennsylvania. Ben is a Virginia Tech Hokie and Lorraine is a Penn State Nittany Lion. Since they loved college football and tailgating they decided they needed to pick a team once they became Floridians. Ben and Lorraine’s son, Ryan, made the choice for us after attending his first FSU game shortly after Hurricane Opal hit the Panhandle. He proclaimed that he was going to be a Seminole when he was five years old. He stayed true to his word and graduated from FSU in 2013. Their daughter, Maggie, on the other hand still loves FSU football, but made the choice to attend UCF. Their involvement as Seminole Boosters has evolved over the years, but they have had the infamous spot in Lot 2 for about 15 years! The Johnsons’ tailgating crowd gets bigger each year!
