
Grit & Grace, Inc., Receives $3,000 Grant To Promote Romote Walton County Folk Life
The St. Joe Community Foundation is proud to announce they have granted Grit & Grace, Inc., $3,000 to become a community partner in their 2014 production, “A Dreaming Place”. The mission and purpose of Grit & Grace, Inc., The Official Folk Life Production of Walton County, Florida, is to preserve and promote the history of Walton County through storytelling, music and dance. “We wish to express our deepest thanks, appreciation, and gratitude to Janet Greeno and The St. Joe Community Foundation for their generous contribution to our 2014 Production, ‘A Dreaming Place,’ ” says Mark Douglass, President of Grit & Grace, Inc. “We are also proud to announce that our director for this year’s production will be Brook Stetler, Executive Director of the Seaside Repertory Theatre. The production will be appearing in 3 different locations throughout Walton County, including South Walton, during the month of July, 2014.”

Grit & Grace, Inc. uses local talent in all of their productions, and has done so for over 10 years. They will be presenting their newest production in July, 2014, with plans to perform in the auditoriums of Freeport High School on July 11th, 12th, and 13th, South Walton High School on July 18th, 19th, and 20th, and Walton High School in DeFuniak Springs July 24th – 27th .
“The Grit & Grace Folk Life Production is a wonderful example of local history being promoted in a way that is fun, endearing and educational”, says Janet Greeno, Executive Director of The St. Joe Community Foundation. “By assisting Grit & Grace this year, The St. Joe Community Foundation is helping to bring more artistic endeavors to the area for all of the community to enjoy”.
