Florida State University Panama City – 2014 Annual Dinner

More than 350 guests joined Florida State University-Panama City to celebrate donors and honor the 2014 Notable ’Noles at the 15th Annual Dinner Gala on Tuesday, October 21, at Edgewater Golf and Beach Resort. The dinner featured signature Edgewater cuisine and live entertainment from New York City-based dance and percussion troupe “Industrial Rhythm.” While guests “drummed” along to the high-energy beat, performers break danced and thrilled the audience with amazing acrobatics.
New to the annual dinner this year was the inclusion of the announcement of the 2014 Notable ’Noles. An FSU Panama City tradition since 1996, the Notable ’Nole distinction showcases alumni who have made outstanding contributions to the community and within their careers. This year’s honorees, Aaron Rich, Angela Sexton and Kristina Williams, demonstrated excellence and dedication as students and have continued to exhibit these qualities in their lives and careers.
Highlighting the evening’s program was a film showcasing donor gifts in action through testimonials from student scholarship recipients Emily Hennessey and Harry Davis, and donors and alumni, Frank Hall and Katie Patronis. The film, which was produced by award-winning videographer Eric Schrotenboer, stunningly portrayed the unique beauty and quality of the FSU Panama City campus and its students.
“This event is a perfect opportunity to recognize and thank our donors and to bring the community together to hear about the great things that are happening on our campus,” Associate Dean Gary Bliss said.
