CUB SCOUT PINEWOOD DERBY TIMER FUNDED BY THE ST. JOE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

The St Joe Community Foundation (Foundation) provided a grant to the Boy Scout Cub Pack 323, Panama City Beach, to ensure there would be no doubt about whose car was the fastest. Cub Scout Pack 323 received $390.00 to purchase a new timer for their annual Pinewood Derby Race, which the Cub Scouts and their families participate in each year.

“As a national organization, the Cub Scouts provide a chance for each of the participants to work together, respect each other and have fun at the same time” says Janet Greeno, Executive Director for the Foundation. “The Pinewood Derby Race encompasses the participation, education and excitement of sportsmanship and providing the funding for the race timer made it all the more exciting for the cubs this year and for many years to come.”
