With more than 30 members ranging from ages 14 to 18, the Bay High School Pep Club has caused all students to catch the “school spirit bug.”

Senior Class President McKenzie Cooper inherited the club president role this year and was glad to do so. “Our club has been around for many years but, in the last two years, Pep Club participation has reached new records” he stated.
Students dress up in the theme that the Pep Club has decided on and they are allowed to wear the outfits to school on game day. The club attends all of the football games of the Bay High Tornadoes during the season, but they also cheer on the Lady Tornadoes Volleyball team during their home games.
“Our most memorable game was our first home game of the season against Port St . Joe!” says McKenzie Cooper. “This football game was held on September 5th and the theme for that night was “Black Out!” Our victory that night was close but the score came out to be 15-6. Great start to the season!”
McKenzie explains further “The Pep Club’s goal is to promote school spirit from the student body while also giving support to our awesome football players and cheerleaders. We feed off of the energy of the fabulous Bay High “Million Dollar Band,” especially at half-time. Our “battle cry” is the traditional “We got spirit yes we do, we got spirit how ‘bout you?” and we are cheering our teams on through victory or defeat.
