Arts Alive – Sponsor Appreciation and Commitment Event

The Bay Education Foundation hosted an Arts Alive in Bay sponsor party on October 1, 2014, to show appreciation for the many individuals, businesses, and organizations that are part of the Arts Alive family. The event was held in the community room at Harbour Village and featured entertainment and refreshments with the backdrop of sunset over St. Andrew’s Bay.

“We rely on our sponsors to make Arts Alive a successful fundraiser,” said Jennifer Reale, event chairman. “It’s important to us to show them that we value their support.”

In addition to being entertained, sponsors had an opportunity to get to know the performers and their families and to appreciate the hard work and dedication involved in becoming a polished performer. The event featured vocalists Gabrielle MaCaghren, Emma Hunter, Cami Prater, Mia Salaveria, Julie Eadie, and Terrell Hill. Dancers were Sarah Downing, Anna Risalvato, Miecha Hawkins, and Stacy Graham. Pianist Cayleigh Jackson performed as well.

Arts Alive in Bay is an annual event which features a reception, silent auction, dinner and variety show. The variety show cast is selected from among the students and employees of Bay District Schools and includes music, dance, and drama. A selected of 15 acts is chosen from almost 100 who apply to audition.

“This is a unique event,” says Reale. “There’s nothing like it among local charity galas, and our patrons are always amazed by the professional quality of the entertainment and just how much fun it is.”

Proceeds from Arts Alive are used to provide grants for performing and visual arts classrooms. Funds from last year’s events will provide $17,000 in grants to support 34 programs. The remaining proceeds are used to support the Foundation’s Take Stock in Children program, that provides college preparation activities and scholarships to eligible students throughout the district.

The 2015 edition of Arts Alive in Bay will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2015, at Edgewater Beach and Golf Resort, Panama City Beach.
