AMY TINCH AND LINDEN GUYNN – Love Song

When asked about the most memorable moment of their wedding, Amy and Linden Guynn agree, besides writing and reading their wedding vows to each other, they felt the most emotional when Linden picked up the microphone to sing to his beloved bride. Everyone could feel his heart go out to Amy as his voice filled the room to the melody of the acoustic version of “Teenage Dream.” “… I finally found you My missing puzzle piece I’m complete Let’s go all the way tonight No regrets, just love We can dance until we die You and I, we’ll be young forever You make me Feel like I’m living a Teenage dream…”

“… I finally found you My missing puzzle piece I’m complete Let’s go all the way tonight No regrets, just love We can dance until we die You and I, we’ll be young forever You make me Feel like I’m living a Teenage dream…”

Amy and Linden first met when both were in high school. Both had signed up for theater projects at their respective school. “We were working together for a cabaret performance, but at the time we both had significant others, so we weren’t on each other’s radar,” Amy remembers. After graduating, they lost sight of each other but four years later, they met again and knew instantly they were meant for each other. Linden smiles when he thinks back of their first weeks together. “Amy gave me no doubts as to whether she loved me,” he says. “There was an instant connection. I felt as if I had known her my entire life. I have no trouble talking to her about anything. She is a very caring, compassionate, and empathetic person. She is not only passionate about her interests but also about helping others and being there for the people she loves.” Amy feels the same about him. “I always thought he was a very trustworthy, honest, and empathetic person. Linden is a very gentle soul and very caring as well,” she summarizes.

After only two months, the couple started talking about marriage, and after four months, they were engaged.   The wedding was planned for December 2020 but they would soon reconsider the date as the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic made large celebrations impossible and brought many uncertainties. It only strengthened Amy and Linden’s resolve and they decided to move their big day up to August 1 and decided to celebrate with close family and friends. For Linden and Amy, everything felt very natural. “While we haven’t known each other for long, it feels like we’ve been together for a lifetime,” they say. Both their families presented wonderful examples for enduring love and happiness.

“My parents and my grandparents were married relatively young, after knowing each other for only a few months,” Linden says. “My parents have been happily married for 23 years and my grandparents were happily married until my grandfather passed away.” Amy and Linden are grateful to their family members for the help and support they provided in organizing the wedding. “My mother was a wedding planner and she has experience with last-minute events,” Linden says, and adds that their big day would not have been possible without both of their mothers doing so much work in a short period of time.

“We appreciate our families for being so eager to help,” he reiterates. “There was no second-guessing on anything. My mom planned and coordinated and we all came together and helped to put something together that created memories that will last a lifetime.” Amy describes the wedding as traditional and vintage-inspired. The venue for ceremony and celebration and the photography took place in Downtown Panama City and it could not have been more perfect. The bride looked absolutely stunning in a sleeveless dress with beaded straps and a drop waist with lace accents trailing down to a scalloped hem. “It was simple but it gave off this vintage vibe that I love. Hands-down the prettiest thing I’ve ever worn,” Amy says. When asked if their life has changed as husband and wife, Amy explains that the only major change is that they now live together. Amy continues working towards her bachelor of arts degree in theater performance at the University of South Florida while working in the fulfillment department of a large retail store and Linden works as a web developer for a marketing agency in Panama City.

We asked the happy couple if they have any tips for others. “Forget the myth that you’re supposed to wait to get married until you’ve dated for x amount of years or you’re x years old,” they advise, and add, “Everyone’s relationship is totally different, and if you know you want to get married, then it truly only matters what you and your significant other think. Also, marry your best friend.”
