Bay County LGBTQ Film Festival

Community members applauded the launch and realization of the first LGBTQ film festival in October. The two-day event aimed to “help bridge communities” with more than a dozen movies showcasing love stories, overcoming challenges, and finding happiness in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer/questioning (LGBTQ) community.

A reception and first evening of short film showings was held at the Panama City Center for the Arts. The event concluded on the following day with film showings at the Gulf Coast State College’s Advance Technology Center.

The successful event was organized by Panama City’s chapter of P-Flag (Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) – find out more at pflag-pc.org
