Christy and Kevin’s love story began five years ago.

Christy grew up in Marianna, Florida and has been living in Panama City since 2003. She is employed as an occupational therapist with Halcyon Rehabilitation in Panama City. Kevin grew up in Panama City and is a physician assistant employed at Southern Orthopedic Specialists and Panama City Spine.

They were introduced for the first time when Christy attended a marketing luncheon for a local orthopedic doctor’s office where Kevin worked as a physician assistant. They both said “Hello” and exchanged a look that they both still remember very well to this day. The food provided at the meeting was catered by Cahall’s Deli. During the next few months, Kevin and Christy ran into each other several times, each time at Cahall’s Deli. Finally, after several encounters, Kevin asked Christy out to dinner and they have been together since.

Kevin spent a lot of time planning his proposal. On September 28, 2013 he organized a surprise picnic with all of their favorite foods from none other than Cahall’s. He whisked Christy away to a vacant lot, asked her to marry him and explained that he had recently bought the lot as their future home site. Christy was overjoyed. He arranged a surprise sunset catamaran cruise with their closest friends to announce the wonderful news that Christy said “Yes.”

KEVIN SAYS ABOUT CHRISTY:

“She is a very kind-hearted, goal-oriented and career-minded person. She is the type of person that possesses the focus and determination to achieve anything that she has set her mind to and is certainly never afraid of a challenge. Christy is dedicated to her career but definitely knows how to relax and have fun. I truly believe the main reason our relationship continues to grow with every passing day is our dedication to each other as well as dedication to our faith. I am so lucky to be married to such an amazing woman. I am excited to see what the future holds for us and am looking forward to the wonderful experiences we will share in life.”

CHRISTY SAYS ABOUT KEVIN:

“He is one of the smartest, most caring and trusting people. I could not be more proud to call him my husband.”
He is very easy going and never meets a stranger. He is very devoted to his faith and his career. Kevin loves to spend a lot of time on the water. Together we spend most of our free time with friends and our dogs, Stella and Duchess, at Shell Island. When Father Michael stated during our wedding ceremony, “This couple really love each other . I mean, they really really love each other.” It couldn’t be more true. I am so very blessed that this was God’s plan for us and we found each other.”

Kevin and Christy will reside in Panama City, Florida in the Cove neighborhood where they were engaged and are currently building their home. They both are looking forward to their future in Panama City and to having kids as soon as possible, if it is God’s plan for them.
