Maggie Tajman has been the president of the Arnold high school pep club for a year and the club has been in existence since 2008. There are about 80 Juniors and Seniors, aged 16 to 18 years old, in the pep club.

“We cheer on all of the sports like football, volleyball, baseball, softball, and basketball,” says Maggie, and adds enthusiastically “One of our most memorable games just happened. On Friday, October 17th our football team took the field to face Pensacola Catholic Crusaders. We were in the lead for almost all of the game. Then in the 4th quarter the Crusaders went for a two point conversion and lead us by one point 36-35. With just a few seconds left on the clock,
Austin Peffers kicked a 40 yard field goal to win the game for us. The atmosphere was insane after that play. It was our last home game of the season and it will be one I will never forget.”
“It really hypes up the team when our pep club comes out to their game to support them and it gives them the drive to beat whichever team they are playing.” On any given Arnold High School Game Day, you will hear the Pep Club cheer the players with a unison “Give them the sauce.”
The two other students who help Maggie run the pep club are Olivia Quave and Matt Straub. The club would like to thank their sponsors Ms. Persichetti and Ms. Gilson for their support.
