6 Year Old Donates Birthday Money to Halo and Gulf World Marine Institute

Gulf World Marine Institute would like to thank Brylie for asking for donations for Halo in lieu of presents on her 6th birthday! Below are words from her proud mom:

Thank you lord for giving her a gracious heart. When Brylie was two she had her first close encounter with dolphins at Gulf World Marine Park. Since then, she has become fascinated with dolphins. She has shared her aspirations of becoming a “Dolphin trainer” and has a passion for “Sick Dolphins”.

When asked what type of party she wanted for her sixth birthday she was very adamant that it be dolphin themed. Brylie also asked how she could help sick Dolphins and we told her about the concept of donations and how it could help rescue organizations to care for dolphins. Brylie became very excited and said that instead of presents her friends could bring donations for a sick dolphin at the marine park. We remembered seeing reports of “Halo” on Facebook and decided that Brylie’s birthday donations would be for “Halo”.

Brylie and all of her birthday friends were very excited about the idea and were even more excited to see the pictures that were sent to us of “Halo”. In lieu of birthday gifts Brylie’s friends brought donations for “Halo”. With a huge smile Brylie helped add up the total monies and could barely contain her excitement about the thought of doing her part. Please accept this check for $255.00 from the very excited “future dolphin trainer” Brylie Ragin.
