2016 Corks N’ Canvases

“Corks ‘N Canvases,” the signature fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida in Bay County, was held February 19 at Harpoon Harry’s in Panama City Beach.

It was an elegant evening of wine and beer tasting that raised more than $70,000.

Big Brothers Big Sisters President and CEO Paula Shell says this year’s event was over the top! “We are absolutely amazed by the outpouring of support provided and by the tremendous generosity of many. The children of Bay County are truly blessed to have so many working on their behalf,” she says.

In 2014 and 2015, 635 children were mentored, 113 of whom reside in Bay County. The tireless mission of this group, which is largely made up of volunteers, is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better.
