SUSAN GUNN
Born and raised in Atlanta, Susan Gunn chose a career path as a first responder. Her work of saving lives jeopardized her own more than once. Those experiences, she says, taught her to look at life a little closer and not take it for granted. She fulfilled her dream of living on the Gulf Coast and moved to San- ta Rosa Beach a few years ago. These days she carries a camera as well as a medical bag. She is a conservationist, a nature and wild- life advocate at heart who still holds licenses as paramedic and rescue diver, and wants to do her part to help protect and preserve the beautiful things she photographs along the coast.
MIKE FENDER
Mike Fender moved from Indiana to Panama City Beach in 2018. He spent 30 years working as a newspaper photojournalist in Indianapolis but lived in a small town outside the city. Mike covered Super Bowls, NBA Finals, climbed Mt. Whitney, and has been sent to Africa to tell a story. When not on assignment, he roams the coastal area trying to capture moments for the “perfect” photograph.
ADAM ONNEBANE
Adam Onnebane is a wearer of many hats. He lives on the west side of Panama City Beach where he takes advantage of every opportunity to be active outdoors, including freediving, spearfishing, surfing, underwater photography, and even creating stained glass using a magnifying glass and sunshine. Adam started his adventures in Baton Rouge, LA, found true-story trails living in the Appalachian Mountains, and now put his roots down in Panama City Beach. Expect a warm conversation, a warm smile, and picture- worthy moments with Adam.
LAURA ROESCH
Laura Roesch, a native of Florida’s east coast, earned a bachelor’s degree in com- munications from Radford University and a law degree from Indiana University School of Law. A retired judge and a voracious reader, she serves on the board of directors of the Bay County Public Library Foundation. She and her husband collect vintage cars and motorcycles.
Note From the Publisher
This issue of Panama City Living is probably the most adventure-filled of all... with “adrenaline” as a central topic, we had the opportunity to interview Northwest Florida’s skydivers, swamp riders, surfers, divers, and many more people that make these activities possible and facilitate the ultimate rush, excitement, and adventure.
Once again, Northwest Florida proves to be a fascinating place to live and play, with a diversity of opportunities and activities you will not find in many other places. And there are so much more activities that we could not even include. Watch out for more stories on adrenaline-generating adventures in the next issues to come.
When it comes to living a healthier lifestyle, more and more people turn their attention back to nature. Panama City Beach resident Chandra Hartman has dedicated her second career path to studying the healing properties of herbs under the framework of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Chandra not
only preaches it; she lives a life that promotes health and a conscious mind and shares her knowledge with our readers.
We hope you will find this issue as exciting and motivating as we do. If you experience the adrenaline rush frequently in your life, we invite you to share your adventures with us and our readers.
