2020 HISTORIC APALACHICOLA HOME AND GARDEN TOUR
On May 2, 2020 guests will have a chance to view life in this coastal town by participating in the Historic Apalachicola Home and Garden Tour sponsored by Trinity Episcopal Church.
Located on the shore of Apalachicola Bay, Apalachicola is considered the most preserved city on the Gulf of Mexico. The 28th annual event features seven private residences, including two newly constructed homes, and a garden in- cluded in the National Register of Historic Places.
A 150-year-old Colonial Revival house that remained in the same family for over 100 years is a featured home. An 1896 Queen Anne-style house features a colorful garden inspired by a visit to an organic working farm.
Dating from before the Civil War, Apalachicola has long been a center for commerce, creativity, and independent thinkers. Guests can enhance their visit to Apalachicola by exploring its many historical sites, shops, galleries, restaurants, and its waterfront.
An auction on the church grounds and a luncheon in Benedict Hall will also take place. Proceeds from the event benefit the preservation and maintenance of Trinity Episcopal Church’s historic structures.
Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 on the day of the tour; luncheon tickets are $12. Purchase tickets online at apalachicolahometour.org
