The ladies are sitting on their favorite bikes, sporting the official attire that identifies them as members of the Motor Maids, a nation- wide organization for female motorcyclists that was formed in the U.S. in the 1940s. The imposing building in the background is a city-owned structure in Downtown Panama City. Built in 1925, today, after several renovations, it houses the Panama City Center for the Arts.
