Aptly named, the gallery/studio is owned by award-winning art- ist Kathleen Broaderick. Vibrant and bright colors dominate her oversized paintings. Her love of watercolor is evident in the transparent luminosity of her energetic, layered oil paintings. Broaderick deftly captures the essence of her subjects with bold use of clean color and light created with loose brushstrokes resulting in fresh, relatable pieces.She has announced a new series of paintings that will focus on our beautiful beaches and unique coastal dune lakes–an art show is planned later in 2018.“CHROMA is a boutique working studio, where I paint most every day, teach in-studio acrylic paint classes and oil paint- ing workshops as well as a gallery where I show my work,” Kathleen explains.A native of the Sunshine State, Kathleen Broaderick was born and raised in Hollywood, Florida, and currently resides in Miramar Beach. Her artistic journey began serendipitous- ly during her last semester at Florida State University, when she lled an open slot in her schedule with a watercolor class. After raising two children and teaching elementary school, she turned her longtime passion into a career.On occasion, Broaderick shares tips and techniques during acrylic ‘paint and sip’-style single-session classes and two- day intensive oil painting workshops in her studio.The artist’s attitude is certainly contagious. “I nd joy in art.
