Leadership Changes Hands For Tyndall Medical Group

TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. – Col. Scott McKim will assume command of the 325th Medical Group from Col. Frederick Weaver here Wednesday, July 13, at 9 a.m.

The 325th Medical Group is comprised of over 300 medical professionals and support staff. They serve the dynamically changing healthcare needs of approximately 36,000 individuals eligible for medical care in the Tyndall community.

Colonel McKim is coming to Tyndall from Yokota Air Base Japan, where he served as the deputy commander 374th Medical Group. He was commissioned in 1993. Colonel Weaver will be going to the Air Force Surgeon General’s Office in Washington D.C.

Media interested in attending the change of command ceremony should contact Mr. Don Arias or SSgt Russ Jackson at (850) 283-4500 by 4:30 pm today. Media must be in place for the event at 8:30 am.

Diane Mercado

Diane Mercado-Mouskourie grew up in Miami and moved to Panama City after high school. She earned an Associate in Science degree in commercial art at Gulf Coast State College and worked as a technical illustrator and graphic designer for 15 years. She later earned a Bachelor of Science in mass communication at the University of South Florida. She returned to Panama City in 2010 after spending the last 20 years of her journalism career writing and editing for mid-size daily newspapers in Florida, North Carolina, Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Diane occupies her time volunteering, freelancing, painting, gardening, and traveling.
