Bay County held its annual Veterans Day Parade on the morning of Friday, November 11. Crowds lined Harrison Avenue and 11th Street to watch the procession as it made its way from the corner of 13th and Harrison to the Bay County Government Center. Many county military organizations as well as local government officials and marching bands from area high schools and middle schools participated in the parade.
In a ceremony that followed, Bill Gobat, Lt. Colonel, USMC (Ret) served as Master of Ceremonies, while Michael F. Hernandez, Commander 325th Fight Wing, Tyndall Air Force Base, was the guest speaker. Also participating in the ceremony were:
The Bay County Board of Commissioners,
Congresswoman Gwen Graham,
Pastor Neil Hickem,
Singer Jesselyn Dudinsky,
Soloist Stewart Corbin,
The Mosley High School Marine Corps JROTC
and The Panama City Pipes & Drums who closed the ceremony following a ceremonial flyover by the 325th Fighter Wing of Tyndall Air Force Base.
